@fwbfest.info with @musicnerdxyz. We spend so much time working online. This was a much needed time to hang out, share what we’re making, and talk about where the future of creative technology and culture is all going. Grateful for this community and everyone putting in the work to bring us together. A little background on what happened: C.Y. Lee (@cxy) and Carl Tydingco (@clt) are creative technologists working toward a world where fans can support independent artists more directly. They are working with 30 artists to will those ecosystems into existence, drawing on firsthand experience of the record-store, file-sharing, streaming, and NFT eras. The all-day “Sanctuary for Technological Creatives” was an open studio for artists working with software and hardware to share unfinished work, compare notes, and meet future collaborators. Artists including Sound of Fractures @sofractures (Alone Together), Tom Vek @tom__kell @chris_hipgrave @sleevenote (Sleevenote), Pete Rango @p3t3rango (@musicnerdxyz ), Latashá @callmelatasha @topia.vision (TOPIA), Forrest @forrestmortifee (Ascension Service), @jonathanmann (We All Make a Platformer), @vividfeverdreams (Dream Sequence), @xcelencia (El Nino Maravilla), @tkthelegend (Darkside), @blackdave.xyz, @raeisla (Prospect) and Mary Maguire @rndstudios.000 shared what they are making, and visitors were invited to bring work of their own.
